Critical issues/essential learnings
1. LPS essential learnings are 'essentail' before conversation begins.
Liz will provide alignment chart. Will be available on shared file.
2. For CSAP prep focus should be on writing which emphasizes:
1.) Main Idea, Support Statements- essay/ tell about
2.) Begtinning, middle, end writing- sequential organization in
narratives.Long essay on CSAP.
3. Read/focus on essay book
4. Tell About prompt as baseline from CSAP prep book- will be implemented 1/20/09.
Liz/Jim Y will do a daily pullout group of about 14-15 4th grade boys
Time: 12:40-1:25 Homeroom will do Word Work
Criteria for selection: Reluctant or Defiant Writer; Low writer with potential to improve Will begin last Mon. of Jan (25th) Will follow Calkins' Essay Unit; will align with homeroom teachers on minilessons
All will meet weekly to ensure alignment--Mondays during Arts block
Current assessment: End product of Personal Narrative unit.
Behind in finishing the assessment due to multiple assemblies, Adventures in the Arts field trip;
MLK Day. Will ask if team data can be turned in Tues. morning
